Shades of Grey

A world without colours. Seems dull?

When there are no hues, there are values. Before understanding art with hues and chroma, is it not important to understand just the value system? Value is basically how dark/light a subject is. In every form of art from sketches to paintings to photography, understanding value helps in setting the base. This was one of the earliest lessons we learnt in Architecture school. To understand this through photography, we clicked various architectural junctions of our college building itself in greyscale.
